Who Wants Our Money?
No, seriously!! Which of the thousands and thousands of businesses ‘out there’ in the United Kingdom genuinely wants our hard earned money? I am of course referring to the Pink Pound, the currency of the LGBTQ+ community.
Here are a couple of interesting facts that might peak your interest further:
1) The purchasing power of the LGBTQ+ community in the UK for 2022 is estimated to be in excess of £7,000,000,000 (Seven Billion). Globally, it exceeds One Trillion Dollars.
2) Year on year, the LGBTQ+ community has the largest % increase in disposable income to spend out of any community.
So why is it, that virtually no business here in the UK is actively inclusive within their advertising and marketing?
There are a million and one reasons why you, as a business, should be marketing to our community, apart from the fact that it is our human right to be included. Unfortunately, when I visit a website to do reserach, only around 5% of these websites actually come across as being inclusive and wanting to welcome everyone to purchase or employ their services. To many businesses, this is an area that they know little about, or even know anything about. This means, as someone from the LGBTQ+ community, I have to do more research, make awkward enquiries, and pull my hair out trying to find inclusive businesses.
More important though, why would I want to give my hard earned money to a business that is actively excluding me from any form of advertising / promoting / website…..
The time has come to really adress this and provide a solution to help not only my amazing community, but also those businesses out there who have been wondering how to actively show their commitment and support.
Everyone Is Welcome aims to address this injustice and help those who genuinely want to become inclusive. This all inclusive website will bring the LGBTQ+ community and all those inclusive businesses together in one easy to navigare space.
We will be officially launching on the 1st October 2022, but leading up to this, we will be actively promoting through a soft launch on our website, through our Social Media and also via outlets like radio, local tv stations and good old word of mouth.
