The Staunton Arms lies a short 10 minute drive from the village of Allington in Lincolnshire. Just one warning when driving, please watch out for potholes, which are riffe across the UK.
With plenty of parking, it is a short walk to the front door, which I feel would be a little tricky for someone in a wheelchair or visually impaired.
There is plenty of seating in both the pub area as well as the restaurant area, and we were quickly seated on a table for 5 close to the fire, which was a warm welcome as it was a cold, rainy day outside.
The menu had plenty for us to choose from, and I went for the fish and chips.
Whilst the service might have been a tad slow, the food came out pipping hot. The fish looked and tasted absolutely delicious, and the batter was golden brown and crispy. The slight disaapointment was the fact that it came out with about 7 chips, which in my mind, is a little on the less than generous side.
We all had puddings, and these went down a real treat, with everyone saying how much they enjoyed the sweet treats.
There were plenty of people dinning that lunchtime, and there was a wonderful atmosphere all around. It actually made the experience even more special.
